Empowering today's students with life skills for tomorrow's success.
At the Institute of Life Skills, we believe every child deserves the confidence and practical skills to succeed not just in school, but in life. While traditional education builds academic knowledge, many students never learn essential life skills like financial literacy, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, personal safety, and real-world decision-making.
Our engaging, hands-on programs are designed to help students become confident, responsible, and future-ready. Through interactive learning and guidance from experienced instructors, students gain skills they can use for a lifetime from managing money and exploring business opportunities to understanding AI and developing personal safety awareness.
Every parent wants to give their child the best possible start. At the Institute of Life Skills, we're committed to helping students build the knowledge, confidence, and character they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Why we exist
Every parent notices the same thing at some point. Your teenager is doing well enough at school, and yet there is a whole category of adult competence nobody is teaching them — how money actually works, how to stay safe, how to think clearly about the technology that occupies six hours of their day, how to hold a room.
The Institute of Life Skills & Enrichment was built to teach exactly that. Not as a lecture series and not as a summer camp, but as a proper short course: a small group, a real instructor, one focused evening a week, six to eight weeks, then a teenager who can do something they could not do before.
How we teach
In person, in Frisco, Texas, in small groups. A cohort is capped so every student has to take part — there is no back of the room to hide in. Sessions are practical rather than theoretical: teens analyze a real property listing, run a real budget, use the AI tools themselves, and practice technique on the mat under supervision.
We publish every session topic for every course on this site before anyone pays. If a class is not right for your teen, we would rather you knew that from the curriculum page than found out in week three.

Safety and standards
Supervised at all times
Students are supervised by instructional staff throughout every session. Parents or guardians are responsible for drop-off and collection unless otherwise arranged in writing.
Emergency and medical information
A parent or guardian completes registration and provides emergency and medical contacts before a student attends. In an emergency where a guardian cannot be reached, the Institute may seek appropriate medical assistance.
Physical activity is disclosed up front
Krav Maga and other physical sessions carry inherent risk, and we say so plainly in our terms. Technique is taught on mats, under supervision, at a controlled pace — not as sparring or competition.
Conduct is enforced
Bullying, harassment, violence or repeated disruption ends a student's place. That protects the other teenagers in the room, which is the whole point of a small cohort.
We are not an accredited school
The Institute is an enrichment program. It does not issue state-recognized diplomas. Anyone who tells you an after-school program is equivalent to accredited schooling is selling you something.
Everything in writing
Fees, payment schedule, conduct, risk, medical consent and cancellation are all set out in the Terms & Conditions, governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
